Oh! The places you should go!

This is a very brief list of some of the many many many amazing places and things I visited in London.

London is full of many amazing museums, and most of them are totally free! London Museum Guide. I visited as many as I could while I was there, and as I love art, I was in paradise! I also visited the Museum of Natural History, the Transit Museum, The Freud Museum, The Geoffry Museum, and the Science Museum, which were all rather interesting and quirky. Even if you aren't completely interested in something, I suggest you go to the museum. You don't lose anything, and you just might see something or learn something you never realized you liked before. And in the case of the British Museum and the National Gallery, you will be able to see priceless works of art and historical artifacts that you'd never have a chance to see otherwise.

Shakespeare's Globe

Shakespeare's Globe Theatre

For £5, you can be a groundling at the Globe Theatre. I went to three shows...two of them were back-to-back, in the rain. Standing for over six hours in the rain to see Henry IV parts I and II was one of my favorite things. They also have a FANTASTIC gift shop (with things like an "Out Damned Spot" (Macbeth) Eraser, and Midsummer Night's Dream pajamas).

Markets

Camden Market

Visit any of London's markets. They are pretty awesome and full of curious things. Camden's markets are really unusual, edgy and cool, kind of like the Village.

London Walks

Walks are really awesome ways to get to know the city. You can take a guided walk tour (like a "ghost walk", and visit sites that are supposed to be haunted, or historical walks, pretty much any kind of walk you can think of). Or you can pick up a book outlining different walks and head out on your own. I had one of those books that I borrowed from a friend, and went on the "off-center" walk, which brought me through unnoticed, unusual parts of London.
